The Beaver Pond

I've queued up some images from the archives. I'm off for a few days to shoot some skiing. This was shot not far from the house I grew up in. It's a part of the stream running behind our house which was always controlled by the local beavers, hence the name "The Beaver Pond"

Oh wow Dylan ... simply love this one. So many elements working together it just feels SO alive. The trunk is a great focal point but my favourite thing is the reflection of the clouds in the water. No detail spared.

NIce. I like the texture of the tree trunk. I'd have been tem-ted to selectively sharpen that up to emphasise it.

@Navin Harish: Yes It was...I remember it being about twice its current diameter before half of it fell over about five years ago.

This brings back wonderful memories of when I would go ice skating with my friends at the Beaver Dam Pond, back in the late 40's and early 50's. Your gorgeous photo and accompanying text really took me back!
