Watching...

Posted by Dylan (Delhi, United States) on 24 December 2007 in Animal & Insect.

Went out with PJ (http://www.hoohaaphotos.com/blog/) for a couple hours to take some photos on Sunday. After an hour or so of shooting we ran into this guy(or girl) perched in a tree along the West branch of the Delaware River. We stood about 25 yards from the eagle perched in the tree snapping photos for ten minutes and it wasn't phased. It was probably one of the coolest moments I've spent with a camera. Bald Eagles are making a comeback in our area, but are by no means a common sight, especially at that close of a distance.

Happy Holidays
